Since building one way links is so important to increase search engine rankings, pagerank, and getting a higher link popularity I am going to create a list of the best ways to build more quality links. The intention of this list is for webmasters to use it as their resource of choice therefore visiting this blog to access it. In other words I want to build some buzz from making a list and think that this is something that not many others have covered. I was trying to find one myself and having a difficult time. Of course people have made one for a paticular niche but not a massive one combining a bunch of differerent onces.

Thanksgiving is a time to be with family and give back to others. I want to give back to the webmaster community and fellow bloggers that have helped me up to this point. I have already had so much positive come out of this blog and hope I can keep meeting great people like the ones I mention. I will even write a small paragraph about their blog and what makes it so great to read!

After going off the results from the Stumbleupon experiment that I started yesterday I was very surprised at the results. I only submitted 2 of my blog posts and the traffic nearly tripled, I plan on doing a few everyday to keep it steady for the next week. The bounce rate was actually lower then the days before. This leads me to believe that it may actually work with blogs, in the past I have used it with forums, proxies, and web hosting. Proxies worked great and got me thousands of uniques just from one time. As expected it did nothing for the forum in terms of registrations and view time. The amount of time that visitors stayed on the site only decreased by about 40 seconds, which means that the users are actually reading my posts. I even noticed a few people blogged about the post after reading about it on Stumbleupon. That means that I also increased the backlinks.  Take a look at some of the results below and let me know your experience by making a comment!

Since starting the blog I had been contemplating actually doing anything with Stumbleupon or not because the results had been terrible when I tried it become. In terms of traffic, it works wonders, and you can get thousands of uniques per day using it. The question is does this traffic convert into sales/clicks? In my study I will try and figure that out and if tagging and categories really make that much of a difference.

Here is the results so far in about three hours. Not surprising but I am anticipating a crazy bounce rate.

Sphinn is a community based popularity site designed specifically for webmasters. On first impression it looks to be a very well designed site with a good following. The best part is that the majority of Sphinns visitors are going to be into marketing, search engine optimization, and building traffic. The same topics that this blog is about. Therefore I joined and hope that it can bring more traffic. If there is a post that you found helpful hit the “Sphinn It” button at the top of each post and help me reach the Hot Topics. It will be interesting to see just what kinda of traffic it will bring but the conversion rate should be very suprising and should bring a great deal of repeat visitors.
