- Write more insightful and higher quality posts
- Finish my eBook and get some reviews then publish it at the blog
- Post more affiliate program reviews
- Post on a daily basis and write more during my free time
- Full up the advertising space and start looking into paid reviews
- Get the attention of more known bloggers such as John Chow, Dosh Dosh, Andy Beard, and everyone else!

Lets Make Money Online!

Blogging takes dedication, something which everyone needs to succeed. A great example would be my post about the 5 reasons why the top bloggers are successful where I outlined some of the most important aspects of making a great blog. The hardest part for me has been time. It takes about an hour to make a solid post and even longer if I have to do research beforehand. It is worth it in the long run to make these posts but short term the results are minimal. Once the search engines pick up the content it is a nice boost though. Plan a free day for blogging. This is something that I am going to do for the new year. Mass produce some high quality content and see how it ends up.

Case studies and lists seem to be the popular posts on my blog. They are easy for the readers to follow and in the example of case studies, give them a reason to come back. That will be one of my areas of focus for the new year, increasing RSS subscriptions. I tried not to pay attention to it during the early stages of the blog and instead I wanted to produce lots of content! Between RSS and Technorati I should be able to bring the popularity of this blog to new heights and even make some great friends while doing it.

Advertising is going to be my main focus for this month. It is important to secure some relationships with people that are looking to promote their web based products and want more exposure to the webmaster community. Up until this point advertising and promotion have not been much of a goal either but not anymore! As I secure more advertising relationships and build a better reader base I will have no choice but to make more posts daily and have them on important topics that all the webmasters want to read.

The search engines will take notice of your blog and come more often. This means you will get more pages indexed faster and rank better for the keywords you are trying to target at each post.

 It Keeps Visitors Coming Back

Posting daily is essential to keeping visitors coming back. You will  get more RSS subscribers and at the same time a loyal reader base. Why do you think John Chow and Shoe Money have so many RSS subscribers? They post something that is interesting but at the same time will help them learn to make more money online. I have not taken a look at paid reviews yet which helps keep this blog my own word and everything that I want to talk about can be posted here.
There Is Value In Posting

With more traffic and link popularity you can sell text links at a higher price and charge more for paid reviews. The better quality the post is and more natural traffic it brings in the more value it will have.

You Are In Control
You are able to work at your own pace without anyone directing orders to you. Hire whoever you want, control the way the business is run, everything is in your power. Most people love working from home for this very reason alone. Control and pressure can cause results to be stagnated.

Work When You Want
The hours are up to you, sleep in, grab a coffee and read the paper, do whatever you want long as you get the work done that needs to be. Being able to work from home is great because you are right there with family and can spend more time around them. If you are prosperous and doing well you can take vacations when and where you want as well. Heck you can even be working while on vacation at the beach!

You Determine The Income
The hours you work and level of focus is up to you. Work 16 hours a day, 2 hours a day, or hire others to do the work for you. The more time you put into trying out different ways to make money the better you will do. Keep trying new ideas until you have squeezed every last penny out of the business.

Why exactly do the top bloggers make so much money and have such a loyal following? Here are some of the reasons these guys are successful and by following these you will be on your way to joining them at the top!

They write a new post everyday
Although they may have the post timestamped and may have not actually created it at that second they always have new content coming out. Sometimes these guys are way to busy and have “Guest Bloggers” do the posting for them that week. Either way they get the fresh content out there and everyone loves reading it. It is suggest to post at least once a day and most bloggers cannot even find the time to do it once a week. Imagine the surge in traffic and rss subscribers if you posted on a day to day basis. Give it a try, it is the best way to gain exposure.

These guys are the promotion kings
They can promote a product without some people even realizing it. Sometimes they may be a bit deceptive and hide the affiliate links but they still get signups which is more money in their pocket. Then they use this money to further promote the blog until word of mouth takes over.  They are also amazing at hyping contests, Darren of Problogger offered over $54,000 worth of Prizes on Offer in the ProBlogger Birthday Bash Competitions! The great part is that almost all the prizes were donated so it was almost free exposure to his already massively popular blog.

They know what they are talking about
Always do research before making a post, it will give you even more ideas and will make you look like a professional in that area. Even though you may already know a great deal about the topic, the readers may not, posting a tip or trick is a great way to build a loyal reader-base. Surprisingly even the basics of Google Adsense such as adding code to a webpage is difficult for beginners, and if you have that they will be sure to bookmark the site and return in the future.

They build a list of contacts
Every top blogger has a Blogroll or list of other webmasters blogs that they enjoy reading. This is a great way to find other interesting blogs and spread the word about your own. Find the best blogs in your topic and ask them to do a blogroll exchange with you. Some may be nice enough to do it even if you are a new blog, others may other do it with close friends. It’s worth a shot though! This also helps build powerful backlinks that are sitewide most of the time which means a bunch of pages will get indexed, search engine rankings will improve, and you will get that small pagerank boost.

They love what they do
These guys are working as bloggers fulltime and love it. They attend conversions and seminars for the topic and just cannot get enough of it. This allows them to share insider news and tips that other bloggers cannot. They are great at promoting their name and always conduct themselves professionally. Without this type of passion their blog would have never made it. Keep this in mind as a bit of motivation when writing your blog.

Most of the contest ideas I came up with involved giving away an eBook, high pagerank backlink, or small cash prize for subscribing to my feed. After contemplating that I thought of an even better idea. Why not take a webmaster under my wing and teach him how to be more successful and make more money! It would be even better if I had a number of webmasters send in their application for this and then vote on the best one. What exactly will this consist of?
